The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has not only affected the people physically who have been tested positive for the virus but has also put massive pressure in terms of mental health. A lot of people are battling increased anxiety, depression, addiction and suicide and these feelings are coming to the surface with people losing their jobs due to countries being in lockdown states for months now. Actress Deepika Padukone, who has always advocated mental health has once again assured the people that they are not alone as they suffer mentally as well.
Taking to her INSTA stories, Deepika shared helpline numbers and insisted that followers should not be afraid and open up as these experts are there to help them out. Urging us not to leave hope, she shared emotional well-being is also of utmost importance. Further giving us assurance of being in together for this, she urged people to stay afloat. She wrote in her Instagram post, “As millions of us (me and my family included) strive to stay afloat, let us not forget that our emotional well-being in this current crisis, is equally important! Remember, You Are Not Alone. We are in this together.And most importantly, there is HOPE! #YouAreNotAlone @tlllfoundation.”
